Hi I had 4 rounds of chemio then surgery then other 2 more rounds of chemio and now I m on Bevacizumbavic.

I had 4 rounds of BEV so far it and the plan is to continue every 3 weeks. However, today for the first time the CA125 result from my blood test came out 58 (the normal range is up to 35. So now I m worried. Has anyone had this cancer mark going up again and hopefully dropping later ?on their healing journey?

  • Hello

I am Brian one of the Community Champions here. I can't answer your question myself as I have a different cancer, however by me replying your post will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and I hope seen and answered by other members of the ovarian cancer group.

A couple of other options for you would be:

    * Have you thought about asking your question to a Macmillan Cancer Nurse - here's a link for you:

      Ask a Nurse

Please give them a couple of days to answer your question.

    * You can always call our Support Line on 0808 808 00 00 (8am to 8pm 7 days a week) I am sure someone on the support line will be able to help.

I hope this helps and you get your question answered. If I can do anything else for you please don't hesitate to contact me.

    Best wishes- Brian.

  • Hello Peonia,

I’m similar to you as had 4 chemo, surgery & then 2 more chemo.  Following that I’m on Niraporib in pill form which I had to reduce dose and have a pause from because of side effects. I’m having ca125 tested monthly at first then 3-monthly.  But  I was warned not to be concerned if it goes up at some stage as it will fluctuate.
let’s hope this happens for you and best of luck.
