Hi, I am Stage 4 ovarian cancer and have been through 5 rounds of chemo and had debulking surgery 5 weeks ago. I had no bleeding for fit’s 2 weeks then it started and hasn’t stopped sincef. I would be interested to know if this is most people’s experience or should I speak to consultant? I start my next stage of chemo on Thursday this week.
Thanks
Hello Charbecca
I think speaking to your consultant or CNS would be the best idea- even if it is only for some reassurance.
Perhaps give them a call in the am so time to talk about it before your next chemo is due.

Hi , I had some bleeding around week 5 , definitely call your medical team to assess. I called my CNS who talked me through what could be the cause. For me it was due to internal stitches dissolving and doing too much, most likely changing bed sheets. My chemo was able to go ahead, it was a reminder of how big the operation was and how much healing is going on inside and not to overdo it. Best wishes for your ongoing treatment. Xx
