I have finished treatment after successful surgery to remove ovarian tumour and would like to get back to living, including holidays. Called my annual insurance policy  who advided they won't cover ovarian cancer medical condition. Have any of you found a company that will cover worldwide so soon after treatment ( did tell them all removed and no further treatment planned, they will cover for everything else but this so confusing to know what I need the extra policy to cover exactly but if I don't try it  would be just my luck to get ill while abroad and insurance would say it was related to my previous cancer).

Thanks

Jholly

  • Hi

I'm not a member of this group but the title of your post caught my eye.

Unfortunately, it's quite common for existing travel insurers to cancel, or exclude cancer cover, from existing policies but there are plenty of specialist insurers.

Can I recommend that you join us over in the travel insurance group and, once you've joined, look through the 'recommended travel insurance' thread as that's where the majority of recommendations are. As there are lots listed, it's probably easiest to make a list and then settle down with a large cup of tea (other beverages are available) and start calling these companies.

You might find that you can only get single trip cover initially but that differs from company to company.
