My gynae Dr found I had a cyst in the left ovary during a recent routine appointment.
Following this, my GP arranged a CT scan which I had yesterday. The scan confirms a small mass, but can't tell if it's malignant or a cyst.
The radiographer recommended I have an MRI and see a specialist. So on 18 Aug I have the MRI and 19 Aug I see a Dr for the results.
I've had breast cancer twice, first in 2008 in right side. Stage 3, Grade 3 fortunately no lymph involvement. Chemo, mastectomy, radiotheraphy and herceptin.
2nd breast cancer in left breast, very small, treated with radiotherapy and 5 years of tamoxifen. Eventually a year later, a mastectomy because the lumpectomy wouldn't heal.
I'm 64 years old, I hope I don't go down this journey again. Because of 2 different types of BC it was recommended I had gene testing, this was negative.
The only other person in my family to have a cancer was my paternal aunt she had a gynae cancer, but not sure what type.
I'm 64 years old, I hope I don't go down this journey again
