Hi lovely people, I'm writing today for any advice... I'm going into Hospital on the 20:6:22 for operation ( debunking) I can't say I'm not scared, however, it's just another journey I must take, I have had 5 chemotherapys, which I feel I've tolerated fairly good... I will have op then one or two more chemo's not sure after that..if anyone could give me tips on op I would greatly appreciate it..

Much love Thumbsup

  • Hello SueP and everyone. I was diagnosed a week ago following an MRI and a laparascopic ovarian removal.

Left ovary has infiltrated the sigmoid colon, so they left this for further surgery with a bowel resection. Right ovary & fallopian tube was able to be removed.

What is a bowel resection please? I assume cutting away the bad bits?

My next appointment is 29/9, my concern is are they leaving this too long? I want the cancer out!

I've had 2 different breast cancers, 14 & 8 years ago. Both mastectomy & radiotherapy, 1 x herceptin & chemo other one 5 years of tamoxifen.

I need help putting together questions I should ask when I have my consultation.

    Thanks

  • Morning I have just responded on your other post. I had my diagnosis August 21 had 4 chemos last one being Christmas eve. I had main surgery in March. Like you I just wanted it done. I think it's also right that you are as well as you can be eat well and rest. Since my diagnosis I have gained over a stone I don't like that bit. I have now started on parb inhibitors. Hope it goes OK for you virtual hugs being sent. Suep

  • Hi pipi, just read a thread you posted and your surgery just sounded like mine as I had omentum and was supposed to have some bowel too. Just wondered how you are doing now? X
