I am under investigation for both ovarian and bowel cancer. Due to changes in bowel habit I am having one large bowel movement a day sometimes two. However I still feel constipated all of the day my stools can vary although I have one large bowel movement sometimes I have two and the second one tends to be smaller. I vomitting yesterday and my doctor said this could be due to the constipation. Anyone got anything similar.
Hi Concerned and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
Being investigated for both ovarian and bowel cancer must be very stressful and to feel constipated as well must be really horrible.
I don't have the experience that you're looking for but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. I've searched this group for previous posts which mention constipation and found these. You could have a read through some of the more recent ones and respond to any where you think the posters may be able to help you further.
You might also like to join and post in the bowel cancer group and, if this is something that you'd like to do, clicking on the link I've created will take you there. You can then join and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

Morning my journey started with a blood test which showed abnormal cells my GP sent me through GI had the usual horrible test uphill and down Dale as I had always suffered from constipation I wasn't overly worried. Well how wrong can I be they found on a scan ovarian cancer stage 3c. To reassure you I've had the chemo, success followed by surgery, success and I have an appointment with the oncologist this Friday. Whatever it turns out to be keep positive eat healthy excersize when you can this group will get you through it and I'm sure the bowel group are equally supportive. I'm almost 67 and live alone these are hard journeys but we can get each other through the highs and lows.
Let us know the outcome.
