Hi I am new to the group.
I had a total hysterectomy including ovaries and other bits and pieces, the mass was 20cm and was stuck to the bladder and bowel. I have had the dreaded call and I found out it was stage 2c Ovarian cancer and I will be having chemotherapy soon.
Because I have not been eating properly for 6 month and having gone through this major surgery I am not sure I am fit enough for chemo and so I need some advice please on foods and vitamins I can take over the next 2 weeks. Thanks
Hi Oasr,
Its really good to hear that you’ve made it through your surgery and are taking positive steps to build up your strength for the chemo.
I know it’s tough when you don’t feel much like eating, but definitely getting as many calories and as much protein in what you DO eat will make you stronger. I was advised to eat plenty of eggs, cheese, oily fish and lean meat…..and anything that you really fancy, to help you look forward to mealtimes again.
There’s some really useful tips here:

Best of luck on the next stage of your journey,
Bxx
