who do I talk to when I am struggling ,??
Hi,
Sorry to hear you’re struggling…..it’s always extra hard during the night when your body wants to rest but your mind won’t let you .
You’ll often find people (like me) posting on here at 3 and 4am, when the steroids they give you after chemo treatment kick your ass out of bed and make you feel too wired to go back to sleep.
If you’re still struggling in the morning, maybe give the Macmillan helpline a call, or talk to your cancer nurse (if you’ve been allocated one yet). The OC charities - Ovacome and Target also have people who can help support you with advice and guidance.
Meanwhile, try to get some rest if you can, and just be assured that you’re not going through this alone.
Take care - you can do this,
love Bx
thankyou. yes at the minute just having a bad time . husband has cancer .he is on chemotherapy. and now I have been diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer . low grade serious carcinoma. which now after a bilateral salpingo oopherectomy. I have to have major surgery cut from under ribs to pubic bones I am disabled to start with spinal problems.
some days are better than others only 2 week since diagnosis.
thankyou for reply. I hope you are ok . ? xxx
Thank you
Like everyone, I have good days and bad days - but I try to make the most of the good days, and try to find something positive (however small) in the bad ones. Just taking each day as it comes and not expecting too much of myself.
Sounds like you and your husband are having a particularly tough time right now - I wish you both well, and I hope your surgery goes well,
love Bx
I see .
tes I already had a staggering surgery as on my MRI scan. It looked like endometrioma.
so they removed the ovaries cysts and did biopsy. it the histologist report from that surgery that diagnosed my cancer .
so that's why my next operation is a big one . dreading it . I was told only a matter of weeks and have my pre op date . so shouldn't be long . I am in Norfolk.
wishing you every success wit your surgery. xxx
