I have stage 3 with ascites already had 4.5ltrs of fluid drained and of course its building back up. I start my chemo 29th, I have been told this will reduce the ascites but does it and how long does it take? My chemo is 3 weekly.
@Foxygirl I was diagnosed with Stage 4 OC in July and had 4ltrs drained a week later. I found that, as my Oncologist predicted, during the week immediately after my first chemotherapy the ascites subsided and on the seventh day was gone. It did come back slowly before the next session but in much smaller amounts and after chemo three there was no further ascites.
I hope it will be equally effective and quick top resolve as it was for me. If you're anything like me you'll be surprised just how much difference it makes.
