Hi, I was diagnosed with stage 2 A high grade ovarian cancer(both ovaries and fallopian) , age 40. After a successful hysterectomy with no cancer present in washing nor visual, I was given 6 cycles of taxol/carboplatin. Reading new researches, I believe this is too much for my grade. I would really welcome any opinion on this as I’m looking at lower number of cycles of chemo, perhaps 3-4? Thank you!!!
I don't have any medical knowledge but someone I met in chemo unit had a stage 1 and received a successful operation. She was having six cycles of chemo. The consultant said it was 'belt and braces' treatment and she wouldn't need any further intervention just check ups.
