  • Hi so I'm 45 years old and in Feb this year was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 1 c. Had a total hysterectomy and was meant to have 6 lots of chemo.  Had 1 dose of chemo and then course cancelled due to risk of Covid 19.  Since June have been struggling daily with fatigue which I've spoke to GP and Oncology Dr about but no one seemed very concerned. In July my ca 125 was 33 but continued to feel exhausted and ended up being seen urgently last week as the thickness to my stomach ( which I was told was down to menopause) was making me short of breath. Ca 125 had jumped to 230 and my chest x-ray now shows a tilt to my lung query down to pressure. Now in limbo waiting for an "urgent" ct scan and feeling so angry. Was hard enough to go through this once without this happening again so quick.  Anyone else had a similar experience thanks Bib
  • Hi

I don't have the experience you're looking for but I noticed that your post hadn't had any responses yet. By replying to you it will 'bump' it back to the top of the list where it'll be more easily spotted.

Waiting to have further tests and scans when you've previously had a cancer diagnosis is very scary but, of course, it may not be a recurrence but something else that is causing the symptoms and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this is the case.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Do come back and let everyone know the results of your scan.

  • Hi Bib was wondering if you have had your ct scan now and how you are. My ca125 has jumped to 198 and am awaiting an urgent ct scan. I had stage 2b ovarian cancer 2013.
