My mother in law was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 3c in February 2020 March 28th she sadly passed away. She’d had 1 round of Chemo. She was 77.

she was so ill constantly vomiting for 8 weeks solid nothing stopped it. Her stomach was bloated all the time drained off every 10 days. She’s lost 5 stone in that 8 weeks and was so weak.

she got sepsis in the end and I have such an overwhelming feeling of guilt that we didn’t pick up on it sooner. We’d done everything that we had been advised. The night before she died her temp was 36.5 c she was talking and laughing next morning she woke up was all clammy temp 33.5 c called for an ambulance while waiting she collapsed and died I tried CPR for 20 minutes until the ambulance arrived but it wasn’t enough.

She lived with us in our house so an now left with my father in law and my husband who are distraught and I’m struggling to find the words to comfort them. All I keep thinking is I should have taken her in to hospital sooner. I had spoken to the nurses about her symptoms throughout that week who reassured me it was just the side effects of the chemo.

I’m so sorry to dump this here I know you are all facing your own battles. I talk to my family but they don’t understand, even I don’t understand. After seeing what ovarian cancer can do to a woman I think you are all fantastic super brave women!

Sorry again of none of this makes any sense!
