Hi,
I wondered if anyone can offer any experiences of palliative chemotherapy? My mum had ovarian cancer a couple of years back and it’s back (and spread further) and her letter mentions meeting to discuss palliative chemotherapy next week. From what I’ve read that means it’s terminal and my search suggests this could mean if she responds to chemo it could give her up to 12 months? I’m not sure if she’d want to have chemo or not if that timeframe is mentioned by the consultant but I guess they’d try not to give one? Does anyone have any advice or tips of what she should ask? We’re obviously devastated but have to take the glimmer of chemo being discussed? I was preparing myself for the worst and not sure if I should have any hope.
