I was diagnosed with fallopian tube cancer in 2016, had hysterectomy and chemo. Everything has be good since then.
I went for a routine check up in April and mentioned that I had been having some upper back pain. A CT scan was arranged for the 13th May and I had a follow up appointment booked for 13th June.
Got home from work today to a letter informing me that my follow up had been brought forward to the 30th May.
I am now climbing the walls with worry. I have spoken to my consultants secretary who said she thought it was just because the results had come back quite quickly and they know how people worry about their results. I have asked for someone to ring me back and hopefully explain.
I am hoping that if something sinister has shown up someone from the Christie would have rang and made an appointment for sooner than 30th May.
Has anyone else had anything similar.
Hi,
I am so sorry to hear about your worrying time. Rather than climbing the wall can you ask to see the consultant privately before. It may cost you £150 but if you can afford/borrow it might be worth it. The consultant may be benevolent and find you an earlier nhs appt. This does seem to be a long time to wait. The other alternative is going to see your gp who will be able to access the specialist report on the hospital site.
Very best of luck
Xx
