Hi all, first time posting
I have been recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I've had a CT scan which has confirmed I am at stage 3. A mass on my ovary, 12cm mass in my omentum, some lymph nodes affected in my abdomen and some small bits found in my Liver.
I now have to wait for a CT scan with biopsy at the same time to determine which chemo I have. Hopefully this will be within next 2 weeks. Then it's about a 10 day wait for results.I will then have surgery and more chemo. So it looks like treatment will start in around a month from now.
My question is "How quickly is a Stage 3 cancer likely to spread/grow and reach Stage 4? Will the month wait (hopefully less) be enough time for it to go elsewhere?
I am keeping very positive but it is getting more 'real' now and becomes increasingly difficult to do so. Anyone's experience with how quickly ovarian cancer moves would be greatly appreciated.
