I had my CT scan today and was told I would be contacted by Consultant either today or Monday (so same day or next working day) after they have made a diagnosis.
My lump was projecting upwards like an alien when I put my hands behind my head to go through the scanner, it even feels like it's moving about ! Horrific !
I am concerned that the consultant thinks this is urgent enough to get a diagnosis and results to me so fast.
Is this a standard time frame?
Certainly it is alarming to me.

I am glad that you have had the scan and it hopefully will bring some answers.
My ultrasound scans were done 5pm and I got results early the next morning. My biopsy was the next day.
My CT scan results came back within a couple of days but was told biopsy and scan results about a week after biopsy was done.
I can understand that it is scary but you have been looking for answers for a while now and I would try to look at it that they are taking it seriously and you will soon know. Better that than waiting and having more time to worry. The sooner you know what it is that you are dealing with, the sooner they can get a treatment plan in place.
I hope that they call you soon with some news.

It does seem that you are on the urgent pathway and that they are prioritising you. That isn't a bad thing really as you will get answers sooner. Something is going on and it is best they find out what it is as soon as they can. The sooner they know, the sooner they can come up with a treatment plan.
