hi

I am starting BEP chemotherapy next week I am really scared but staying positive.any advice for me?

is there any more people here who could tell me more about side effects etc?

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I haven't had BEP as I had a different type of cancer but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Clicking here will take you to Macmillan's information on the side effects that you might experience. Whilst it may look like an imposing list of possible side effects, it's important to remember that you might only get a few of them or none at all. I counted myself very lucky that during the 5 months of chemotherapy that I had I had very few side effects and those that I did have only lasted a few days.

On your first treatment day the nurses will go through with you the sort of things you might experience along with advice on when to contact them. You should also be given a 24/7 contact number so if you're feeling unwell you can contact someone at anytime, night or day.

Wishing you all the best with your treatment
