Hi I’m new to the group i was diagnosed with Non Hopkinson Lymphoma back in May. I am on my fourth round of eight treatments. Although they did day I would not lose my hair every time I brush it big hand fulls come out. Does anyone any suggestions what I can use to help prevent more hair loss

I am Mike and I help out around our Lymphoma groups.
I was diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with a rare (8 in a million) incurable but treatable type of Cutaneous T-Cell NHL (a type of slow growing Low-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma)……. eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 when a second, also rare (4 in a million) type of aggressive Peripheral T-Cell NHL (a type of fast growing High-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma) was then presenting so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ my be different I most definitely appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.
There are over 60 types and sub-types of Lymphoma …… do you know your ‘exact’ Lymphoma type and what ‘exact’ treatment you are having?
Based on my long experience there is no certainties when it comes to treatment side effects……. Hair loss is on of the most challenging as it is so visible.
I lost all my hair 3 times over my main treatment years between Oct 2013 and Oct 2015…….
At times hair loss is guaranteed due to the aggressiveness of treatments but even some of the less aggressive treatments that ‘may mean’ no hair loss…. but often at times it is all down to how our bodies metabolism reacts……..
Based on my long experience, I never did find a way to stop it.
