Hi peeps, 1st cycle in with NHL (Steroids and R-CEOP) treatment rather than R-CHOP (due to preexisting CHD) been weird but what do you do..!! Biggest thing for me has been the loss of weight (I can think of better way of losing nearly 5 stone and walking out of my clothes...) and shatteringly bad fatigue, going from being a reasonably fit and active mid 50s male, to feeling like, well basically an old knackered man has been a shock to the system... anyway that's my story, so far, sending best wishes to everyone going this thru weird, strange and scary journey, you just never know what's in front of you until you start walking the path, Bob
Hi, you are doing the right thing, by coming on hernandez talking, talking let's you express yourself privately, it then allows to to see your son n he sees the stronger side, I was 55 yrs old when I was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma, my 2 sons have Cerebral Palsy and had to be taken into a care home, what works for some doesn't for others, to me your talking, if you need more help, message me n we can have a chat, sending hugs to all of you xxxx
Hi Mike, thank you. I feel so bad getting help when its my son going through everything. I hate meeting my friend for coffee when my son cant even leave the house or have his friends round as his immune system is so low. Im trying to stay strong for him but cant stop crying. Im so scared of what the doctor is going to say next week.
Hi and thank you for your kind message. Im sorry to hear about what must have been a very difficult time for you. I would love to have a chat with you. Thank you! xx
My wife and I agree that she went through a much harder journey in many ways compared to me…… the system was looking after me, but on the whole carers and family get overlooked so don’t feel guilty in any way.
I was happy, indeed encouraged my wife to get out with friends and family and escape for a pyoderma time….
The main thing you can do is get your questions down on paper ready for the appointment… the link below will help
Questions to ask your medical team about Lymphoma
