I finished my chemotherapy in March. It was RChop. The last few months I've been suffering with joint and muscle pain. Also trigger finger where my fingers are 'locked'. The pain is all over and I'm quite weak at times. My consultant is sending me for a bone density scan. Anyone had similar?
Hi againJane03, sorry to hear you have some treatment left overs.
I had a different treatment journey but also had to work through all the issues you have mentioned.
It took me rather a long time to say that I was out the other end but eventually everything improved.
Our muscle mass does erode during treatment and this just takes time and perseverance to rebuild it. I also have nerve damage where my mass was surrounding nerves so agin this had to work out if my system…… I am left with the trigger fingers….. makes playing my guitar interesting
I am not sure i had joint pain but defenitely have and still have muscle pain. I have the most extruciating cramps. Never experienced a cramp like that before. Not the usual cramps.especially at the front of the ankle. What helps me is to place the foot on a cold floor and apply pressure. Without it, it wo
I had pain in my hips and lower back after R-CHOP. They said inflammation showed on the PET scan and said it was likely polymyalgia rheumatica. It took its time but it has now gone. What it really was I don't know but it has gone.
Just finished 6 treatments of chemo I’m so tiered fingers in left hand numb but I did brake neck & had few problems before I was 80% disabled , but I am just trying to get better but my daughter very loving is planing Christmas I can’t think that far she thinks I’m being awkward says my brain fog is Rubbish , I can not find way to tell her how I feel , I wrote in my main page my treatment , i believe it’s worked but she had me visit day after last chemo for 12 days I thought I was going mad Tv full blast Talking flat out & 3 cats 2 dogs I was fried
Hi Rural man, keep exercising your hands with the likes of a stress balls…… but unfortunately if you end up like me…… my trigger finger is still with me coming up to 7 years post my last treatments.
