Hi Simon, the advice is have anyone you can get as some immunity is better than none.
At this point in time there is no real evidence if one is better than the other.
I had my first AZ Oxford last Wednesday the second will be the start of April.
Sore arm by Wednesday night all the way through to Saturday.
Sore head Wednesday night but Paracetamol fixed that.
Slept well through Wednesday night.
Thursday afternoon became achy all over, Paracetamol and bed..... right as rain on Friday.
Temperature never moved up.
Had worse issues after a busy day in the garden.

All the best.
Like the other guys I've had mine, got the pfizer one on Friday morning , developed slightly sore shoulder muscle on Friday afternoon but the pain was completely gone by Monday. I had chemo today and both the oncologist and all the nursing staff were delighted I got the jag and well pleased I got it just before chemo.
Hi, I had mine yesterday, I had AstraZeneca which is the one I wanted. I have follicular lymphoma and am having O-CHOP so my B cells will be very low. I've read that the AZ vaccine stimulates the T cells as well, which is why I wanted that one. No side-effects so far, though that may be due to my low immune system and lack of immune response. I had previously watched a webinar on the Lymphoma Action site with several consultant haematologists and virologists and the consensus was, have it (either one) as, as Mike has said here, any immunity is better than none.
Hi Simon,
I had the Oxford vaccine and had flu like symptoms for 3 days, but I had a strange reaction, I developed a swelling under my arm on the opposite side to the jab. I was very worried but luckily I was due to have a regular CT scan and this showed that it had not affected my lymph nodes. Unfortunately neither my doctor or consultant can explain the swelling which is still there after a month.
