Hi everyone hope everyone is well in this uncertain time's, I was hoping for some advice please ,if someone could help that would be great.
Like most people I'm self isolating from everything and doing quite well under the circumstances but, my question's are as follows,
First my mum has advanced cancer and unfortunately, we don't think she has long left, which we've not told her yet,my question is, am I OK to visit her at her home as ,I'm the only family member that's available to do it,I'm doing at the moment and,I'm keeping a face mask on all the time I'm with her, plus a good distance away from her as she's in bed ,with a infected foot on top of everything else,I just go straight to mum's and back home.
Second question is can I go out for a walk, obviously by myself wearing a face mask and ,also making sure I keep away from everyone.
Thank you in advance and stay safe everyone

Hi , so sorry to hear about your mum - these are very challenging times.
Have you received a text or letter saying you are in the High Risk 'Shielding' Group? as this may guide what you 'should' be doing based on all the Government advice.
If you are in the 'Shielding' group you should not leave your house!!
If you only have to follow the general advice given to all the rest of the population you can go for a walk as per the guidelines
Does your mum fit in the the 'Shielding' group as this can make thing challenging for you.
At the moment these are guidelines and it is up to everyone to comply with these guidelines as far as possible - sorry no real answers as it is ultimately up to you I think.
Keep safe.
Hi Highlander thanks for your email today, I've been getting text from the NHS for being at high risk but,not a shielding one,my mum is bed ridden because of her foot and,she has care nurse's twice a day and also 3 nights a week,as I mention I'm the only one that can visit as,one sister lives up country and the other is Austic but,as you say it's so difficult and,as I've mention we don't know how long she has.
Thanks again and stay safe out there
