Hi, I'm new to this forum. I was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour in the small intestine, metastases in my liver. Stage 4, terminal. 18 months ago. I'm on 4 weekly oral chemo of capecitabine and temozolomide, with additional 4 weekly injection of lanreotide. I get a little bit tired (I'm 78), but otherwise no side effects. I'm still hill walking and looking forward to getting out cycling and kayaking again when the weather warms up. I live 2 hours drive away from my oncology department, so I just get a monthly phone call to confirm bloods are ok before the chemo. I haven't seen anyone in person since my first diagnosis, and that's fine so far. Sometimes my platelet count is low, and I need an extra week break, but otherwise good. I feel like I'm in the phony war.
