Hi, I'm new here I'm 43 years old and have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 gallbladder nec, they said its aggressive and have given me a prognosis of 12 to 18 months to live. I am being treated, I am about to start my 2nd cycle of carboplatin, epotoside and immunotherapy, has anyone had,a similar diagnosis/ Prognosis? I'm scared, it's been a real rollacoster and I'm just crossing my fingers treatment is effective.
Hi Stormy
Welcome to the Online Community.
I am sorry to hear that you have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 gallbladder nec.
I understand that this is a scary time for you and a real rollercoaster of emotions.
My own cancer was different to yours but by replying to your post it will bump it and hopefully bring it to the attention of someone who has had a similar diagnosis.
While you are waiting for a reply you are welcome to give the Macmillan Support Line a call if you feel it would help to talk things through with someone. They are there from 8am-8pm everyday.
In the meantime I wish you well for your second cycle of chemo/immunotherapy.
Jane
