Hello, new to the group. I had an appendectomy April last year after ED admission with acute appendicitis. 4 months later got told out the blue that there was a 15mm NET attached. The hospital f***ed up and I slipped through the net (no pun intended) and they missed me twice. Pure luck that another speciality I was under saw the pathology and decided to tell me!! Had multiple scans and tests. Now waiting from specialist advice because they can see the NET cells in lymphatic vessels, blood vessels and around nerves. Due to the size of the tumour I don't immediately fit criteria for a Right Complete Hemicolectomy but with the vessel and nerve invasion I am a tricky customer. Just wondering if anyone else has been in my situation and what their outcomes were.
Many thanks
Hello AmbMama That's some story you have there and I am sorry I can't give you an answer. I have just noticed your post has gone unanswered - I have a different cancer, however by me replying your post will go back to the top of the forum. I do hope then someone who has "been there got the t-shirt" sees your post and can re-assure you of the possible outcome.
Best wishes - Brian.
