Hi Everyone,

I have just had a colonoscopy that has picked up a polip that was proven under biopsy to be Net but non cancerous. I have to go for further investigations.

But reading about Net's since I found out I have realised that I have lots of symptoms that are related to carcinoid syndrome.

My question is...if the Net that has been found was benign, to have anywhere else a malignant Net?

I am really scared and I would like to know is any of you had malignant nets and benign nets at the same time??

Please, help

Ella

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

That's good news that the Net your team have discovered is benign but I can understand why you still feel anxious about the future.

I can't help with your question but noticed that you hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' your post back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be seen more easily.

If you don't get any replies you could post your question in the ask a nurse section of the online community and one of the specialist cancer nurses will respond within 3 working days. If this is something that you'd like to do just click on the link I've created.
