Hi, my son who is 25 has been diagnosed with this, I'm looking for any support or people to talk to with similar.
Don't really know where to start or what to say any help greatfully received
Hi Buttercup96 I am so sorry to hear about your son's diagnosis. You might also want to try posting in carers only forum CLICK HERE
Another way to connect with people going through similar is to look through the posts and reply to someone else's post if you put @ before their name, wait for the drop down box and then click on their name they should be notified that they have a message and if they are still active on this forum they might reply to you. So to message you directly I did @Buttercup96 and then clicked on your name in the drop down box.
Hope your son's treatment goes well.
Hi Buttercup96 and a warm welcome to the online community
I didn't have the same type of cancer as your son but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be more easily spotted.
While you're waiting for replies it would be great if you could pop something about your son's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you haven't already, you could connect with others in the group by replying to some of the more recent posts.
You might also benefit from joining either the carers only group, if you are your son's carer, or the family and friends group if you're not. Both of these are safe and supportive places to discuss your worries and emotions with others who have a loved one living with cancer. If you'd like to do this clicking on the appropriate link will take you to that group where you can join and post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

I have grade 2 pancreatic neuroendocrine with metastases in the liver. I am being treated with somatuline auto gel injection every 28 days. Tomorrow will be my 3rd injection. My doctors tell me they can keep me well for quite some time, it not a death sentence and I asked how long they said 10 to 20 years and that there are new treatments being found all the time.
Please be careful what you google. Listen to the specialist not somone who aunties, cousins bother knew someone, who knew someone with this cancer.
