Hello

Have recently been diagnosed and have completed a two week cycle of chemo tablets. Also had a tooth out and got to have another 3 out all connected to condition.

I just feel sad and overwhelmed by it all.
I have gone from being a strong independent woman to someone who is fragile and afraid have also lost a lot of weight.

im constantly worrying about what the future holds especially with regards to finances, have not slept a night through since my diagnoses and in many ways just feel lost and sad with now so much time on my hands.

I am trying to put it all into perspective but it’s hard.

  • Hi JKam, just came across your message. I know at the moment its all so overwheming and frightening. You have come to the right place to find help and support, people on here fully understand how you are feeling as we have all been there and in some cases many times. At the begining its all hospital appointments, scan, doctors appointments but it does settle down. When a treatment plan is in place and you know whats happening you will feel less stressed and in more control, its the unknown thats scary. We all have had sleepless nights me for one i didn,t sleep properly for months your brain is all over the place at the moment. iIhad to have extensive dental work done before i could start chemo and it was stressful. Please believe me you will feel more in control further down the line, we all worry but it is what it is and we must try to be as positive as we can its not easy but it helps those who love and care for us if they think we are getting our head around it all. Many of us including me had to give up work so money was a giant problem. There is finacial advice available on this site, but i would also suggest you contact your local social services department and your GP to ask for any help that is out there for you.I wish you all the best, and remember breath and try to keep calm x

  • Wino Thankyou so much for your reply it helps I’m really trying to put it all in perspective
