  • Hi

I don't have any experience with NETs but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.

You mentioned that you saw the consultant a few weeks ago. Did he tell you what your treatment plan will be or are they doing further tests/scans before they can get to that stage? Have you been assigned a cancer specialist nurse yet as they are invaluable for answering questions and helping you to understand what's happening?

    • Latchbrook thanks for your reply i have a colorectal nurse the treatment plan so far is i have to travel to warwick for a special scan apparently the only hospital that do it in the UK which means 200 around trip its just the waiting what getting me down My consultant is really good but i don't think he knows much about nets
  • I know all about waiting  and it isn't pleasant. My best advice would be to immerse yourself in any hobbies or interest that you have so you're not sitting around just thinking about your diagnosis. Lots of people find mindfulness really helpful and if this is something that you think you might like to try then clicking on this link will take you to the NHS mental health apps page which has a list of mindfulness apps, some of which are free.

You might also find it helpful looking through this information on how to ease worry when waiting for medical results.

All the best with your scan. Do you have long to wait for it?

When you have a minute it would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
