Ive just come back home  from a short walk with my chihuahua. I felt as though i had more energy today waking up at 4.30am today, unfortunately towards the end of my short walk my heart started to pound vigorously, my chest was becoming tight and the back pain was beginning. By the time i gotten in i was completely out of breath, drenched in sweat. Now have the windows open i feel better.

Im on my second round of chemotherapy now, and im wondering  if ill be able to do any exercise at all?..... Not just because of walking my pooche but out of normality of who i am.

Can anyone enlighten me if they were able to resume to basic exercise after /before 6 rounds of chemo please?

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm afraid I can't answer your question but I noticed that you hadn't had any response yet. This is probably because this is a very quiet group without much activity.

Could I suggest, therefore, that you post your question in ask a nurse and one of the Macmillan Cancer Information Nurse Specialists will respond within 2 workings days.

You might also like to join the animals are family too group where we currently have a thread going with photos of our pets. It would be great to see one of your chihuahua!

When you have a minute it would be useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
