Lanreotide side effects

Hi everyone, I’ve recently been diagnosed with stage 4, grade 1 Neuroendocrine cancer with 60mm primary sitting where my small bowel meets the large with multiple liver mets.  No op for now and started treatment with my first Lanreotide injection yesterday. During the night I woke up with severe stomach pains radiating to my back which has resulted in frequent visits to the loo ever since. My question is regarding the colour and consistency of what I passed (sorry I’m trying not to be gross) - very pale in colour which is what shocked me and very difficult to flush away. Is this normal? The pain is a bit less intense now but I’m wondering how long this should last. Has anyone else had this happen and should I expect this every month following my injection?

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. Have you had chance to speak to any of your hospital team about your back pain and change in stools?
