Hi all, I’m new to this group. 18-24 months ago I was diagnosed with MGUS. Today I have severe peripheral neuropathy and both arms and hands feel like they are failing due to the pain and strange sensations.
I have suffered with Barrett’s and have had an aseophojectomy! Spelling!! lol due to high grade dysplasia, so of course I’m worried.
can anyone out there advise me where to turn next because the doctors seem to be going down the wrong path, with medication for pain etc.
it seems and feels like a natural progression, one which I would rather not experience.
Please advise, I would love to hear from someone in a similar situation.
Hi RNvet and welcome to this corner of the Community.
I am Mike and I help out around our blood cancer groups…. I don’t have Myeloma but have lived with and been treated for 2 rare types of T-Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma for over 25 years.
I had to deal with peripheral neuropathy for a good number of years after my second Allograft Stem Cell Transplant……. But it would be good for you to talk with others who have the exact same condition.
There are a number of active members on the group so let’s look for them to pick up on your post.
