Loonylil do consider putting up a post in the dedicated Stem cell transplant group as it will widen your chance of finding folks who have had their treatment at King’s London but also the SCT process is basically the same regardless what type of blood cancer you have.
My son had stem cell transplant in November 21 as he had DLBC aggressive lymphoma and his first line of treatment did not put him in complete remission. He was give two high dose of chemo called Eshap and that put him remission and then stem cells, he stayed in the hospital for 3 weeks and came back home on 15th December, doing great but all in sudden he lost his appetite and admitted in the hospital and he passed away in 7 days time.Remmber every body is different and this treatment works very well. You will be monitored through out the treatment, my son had an aggressive cancer.I wish you all the best and I would eradicate cancer if it is in my hand.
