I was diagnosed with Myeloma after numerous blood tests and biopsy but so far no medication required. Struggling a bit with fatigue and neck pain which I’m assured is not Myeloma related. Most worried by the not knowing when or what is going to be affected next but am trying to remain active and positive. I have a very caring and understanding husband and family with young grandchildren who I would love to help out with more as long as I have the energy so I try to keep myself as fit and active as possible. My husband and I are both retired. I would like to hear from anyone who is at a similar stage of their ‘journey’.
Hi I have multiple myeloma diagnosed beginning of August 2021, I had a tumour removed from my spine, which has effected my mobility, but I have just had my 1st cycle of chemo VCD and I so far have no side effects, apart from fatigue, my treatment is weekly and only takes 15 minutes I wish you all the best you can do this.
Thank you for your reply. I feel so lucky when I read that you have had your spinal op and chemo treatment because, as yet, I have only experienced bit of fatigue and few minor skin problems which are probably not Myeloma related. To be honest, I feel a bit of a fraud! I have a blood test booked for the end of November followed by app with consultant in early December so hopefully I will get good results again? In the meantime I wish you well with your treatment.
