Hi
I'm Granny, a 52 year old man living in rural East Yorkshire with my wife Dawn.
Our daughter is a teacher in LIncolnshire and we are so very proud of her.
I was diagnosed with asymptomatic myeloma in August 2017 and although my bloods have been "normal" ever since apart from paraprotein levels around the mid to late teens, my latest bloods showed paraprotein levels at 21.
My nurse specialist has reassured me that levels can fluctuate but I am naturally concerned that this may be the start of a progressive increase.
Of course, the worry is horrible but I don't have to tell anyone here that but if anyone needs to vent, my wife and I are good listeners.
Take care and keep safe.
Granny
Hi, I've full blown myeloma and my levels have been around 60 something, down from 3,000 upon diagnosis (aged 50) One lady here was at 9,000. There is a margin of error when counting, for example one rogue result had mine at 150 (or something like that). Try not to fret and live your life would be my advice. All the best Rob.
