Hi both,
Just wanted to say that I’m really sorry that you have both received this diagnosis. I don’t know much about MGUS as I didn’t know I had it and went straight to myeloma. I am really hoping that this doesn’t happen to you, I understand that it is a relatively small proportion of people who go on to develop myeloma so I’m really hoping it won’t be you. I may be wrong but I think the approach with MGUS is to watch and wait and I know that will create its own uncertainty. It will probably take a while but I hope you can soon start to get your head around it. I am 5 years plus in remission from myeloma now and so perhaps in a similar mindset about the future what if’s. I try to focus on the present. I am feeling well now and I’ll leave the future to be what it wants to be.
All the very best
Greg
