Thanks for the positive responses I received from my last post regarding treatment for neuropathy.
i have recently tried Duloxatine, my GP told me to persevere with it as she had good results with patients with diabetic neuropathy…. I experienced severe side effects including loss of appetite, weight loss, nausea, upset stomach, severe fatigue and believe it or not, depression, even though this drug is used to treat depression.
Obviously I have stopped taking it because the side effects far outweighed any benefits.
that was my personal experience, it might not have the same effect on others.
I will keep on trying to find a better solution but am grateful for being in remission and able to have a moan.
best wishes
Hi, not sure how long you have been struggling with this, I have had ongoing neuropathic pain too. I finally saw a chronic pain specialist and they recommended a topical patch called qutenza. It has the active ingredient in chilli peppers! I also had a history of difficulty with side effects of various drugs. It is working for me, I had a treatment which reduced my pain by about 30% and it lasted 3 months. Hoping that my experience helps you? I am having the procedure repeated in May. Best wishes to you.
Fresh air lover,
thank you for your reply, I will certainly look into the treatment.
Good luck with your upcoming treatment.
very best wishes
Mike
