My husband was diagnosed in august 2021 and has so far been managing his treatment quite well. Unfortunately his dose has had to be reduced due to ankle swelling and achey legs. He now seems terribly weak. It’s disheartening as everything seemed to be going so well. His protein levels have gone from 20 to 2% in three cycles so hopefully we’re in the right path.
Has anyone else has these problems?
Hi again Loonylil, so sorry to hear about the challenges your husband is having.
I have a compactly different type of blood cancer and treatment but I can say that the problems your husband is having with regards to ankle swelling and achey legs happens a lot with many other treatments. Lets look for things to improve soon and things to stay on the right path.
Hi Mike
treatment has been suspended as they think he has reached the optimum protein levels so further chemo will not make any difference.
We have an appt next Friday to discuss SCT so hopefully he’ll start feeling a bit better by then. Not sure what to expect regarding SCT but I guess we’ll soon find out
