Hi. Just an update. MM Treatment ongoing cycle 3 started last week. Consultant happy with blood counts. STC. now applied for in Birmingham for early 2024. STC. Nurse briefed me some mre on what to expect. My son’s wedding in Australia took place last week. With the aid of a very kind guest I saw it live stream on FaceTime. Handkerchief close by. Good to seemy 3 sons and daughter together again. And a beautiful new daughter in law. With a baby due next year. Makes my determination even stronger. We made the right decision. Great friend upport at home. And my neighbor rushing round when he saw all the lights on @ 3.00 am. Checking I was ok. That’s it. Live the life we have it’s not a rehearsal ️
Good to hear that you were able to see the wedding….. and great that you people around you looking out for you.
I remember the motivation going into my first SCT as our youngest daughter was expecting our second granddaughter a month after my SCT.
8 years on from my second SCT we have all 4 granddaughters staying with us at the moment (we had a further2 added after my second SCT) so although the SCT was challenging, it was so-able and the rewards were great.
Do remember that we have our dedicated Stem Cell Transplant support group. This is the place where you will connect with others from various blood cancers including Myeloma who have navigated the rather unique SCT rollercoaster.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
