Cyclophosphamide stopped now nothing

Hi Laura, I had cyclophosphamide but for 8 months. I had to stop it for a few months because I had a mild stroke. But my doctors allowed me to have the other two months. When I finished my protein was at 5 and I have had 12 months off from having any chemo or anything. Lots of people don’t know they have myeloma until the protein is at a high level and are not on any treatment. Your doctors should know what they are doing so just go with the flow. I am going on my fourth treatment this week (Daratumamab) hopefully this will work as well as the cyclophosphamide did. If you’re not feeling happy with your mum’s treatment perhaps you could talk to the cancer nurse specialist and tell her of your concerns. Don’t forget the medication stays in your body for a while so it will continue to go down for a while. Hope your mum gets on ok. I’m going on Daratumamab they say theyve had good results with it.
