My husband had Pleural Mesothelioma diagnosed a year ago.
There is no treatment for him apart from steroids and he has oxygen available for shortness of breath when needed.
He’s beginning to lose his appetite and has lost a few pounds over the past month. Feels bloated and gets stomach/chest pain from time to time.
He has CT scans every 3 months before seeing the oncologist.
unfortunately he also has Parkinson’s so get confused with symptoms between the two,
I know we have a journey ahead.
Sorry to hear about your husband,my husband was diagnosed in October and is currently receiving immunotherapy which he gets every 3 weeks he has also lost weight and gets breathlessness and pain, he is on Zomorph, pregabalin and oramorph,he is due a scan in January so we will find out then if treatment is helping.
Oh thank you for replying.
I hope it will help you to know we’ve had 12 months since diagnosis of a relatively “normal” life up until now, without treatment, apart from Pregabalin.
Would say with regard to oxygen - I asked for it! - it helps my husband if only to relax him with his breathlessness . Don’t use it all of the time but it’s an aid.
Good luck in January.
