Hi
I have been diagnosed with mesothelioma. I am 56 year old woman - so it has been devastating to be diagnosed with a terminal illness.
I am having an EPD at Leicester in December.
Anyone had any positive experience of the operation - that they can share
Thanks
Hi Telly2 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I can't share any experience with EPD but I noticed that fairly recently had this procedure. I've 'tagged' them in to my reply to you and hope they'll be able to pop on and share their experience with you.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

No I don’t know if anyone who has had this procedure and the consultants say there is no point in my husband having the operation. They say we have to manage the disease with treatments as he will have a better quality of life. He might just not be suitable for the op.
