Hi all. I know this question probably doesn't have an answer but looking for other people's experience I suppose. My Dad has already defied all the odds after being diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma almost 3 years ago. All treatment was stopped over 6 months ago and he's now on palliative care. He can still manage most everyday tasks (getting up, dressed, washed etc) although he gets out of breath and struggles - but he can't manage much more. In recent weeks his energy levels have plummeted and he's not eating much, consistent dry cough and his blood oxygen level is averaging around 90% with a high pulse.
The question is (although like I said, how longs a piece of string) how quickly could this develop into something worse and how quick could his decline be. I know no one can answer this but I'm trying to get an understanding of whether we might have days, weeks or months left? Like I say, he's past every timeframe previously given and we are so blessed to have had him fighting for so long - just looking for answers I probably can't get.
