My 87 year old FIL was diagnosed with the disease 7 months ago. He also has dementia and the prognosis was that the cancer was most likely in his spine, prostrate and he was give 6 to 12 months to live. He also has skin cancer.

We moved him into a nursing home beginning of May due to lots of issues with his care, his permanent Catherter etc.

In the last 5 days he has had low blood pressure issues and been passing out, he is now refusing any food and drinks and is barely having anything, he is also now bed bound as the nurses said he is too frail to Expressionlessmove himself. He has lost a stone in 1 month Expressionless. Sorry for my babbling on, we have been told he is very poorly but I just want to know from others who have gone through this, if this is now looking like end stage for him so I know how to support my husband. He is an only child and our family is very small. It's absolutely heartbreaking to see my FIL like this and to watch my husband worry every single day about the dreaded cal we will eventually receive!
