I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here for helping me answer some difficult questions and go to scary places in my mind as we navigated mums mesothelioma.
She passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Wednesday. She got very suddenly ill on Sunday, she had her purple repeat form so was going to be transferred to our local hospice later that day. She woke Wednesday morning but her oxygen levels were very very low, she was sleepy and said her head was too heavy. She took her glasses off and lay down in bed and passed away.
the care she received by the community palliative care team in the community was lovely. She felt heard and held.
I wish you all peace as you struggle through loving and supporting people with this horrible disease.

So very sorry for your mum’s passing There are no words for the loss I lost my father to this dreadful disease 5 weeks ago too after a 10 month battle. Nothing worked so it hit us hard too. He developed acute kidney injury after being in a hospice for 2 days. Unconscious sleep for 44 hours and slipped away. Sounds like your mum had a peaceful passing like my father too which I was thankful for with mine. Hope you find some comfort with that and in time I hope to join some grief counselling maybe something to consider should you need it . Hugs x
