my mum has just had an extended pleurectomy and is so very weak she is finding recovery so hard, she is a week post surgery and has a chyle leak now has anyone experienced the surgery and can give me any information
Sorry to hear about your mum. How advanced is her mesothelioma? My husband has it but they have said no point in operating as would leave him too weak and wouldn’t be able to stand chemo if any cancer was left. So I am curious, did your mum have her operation private or on the NHS? We have spoken with 4 specialists they have all said the same, just stick with chemotherapy and maybe immunotherapy etc
