Hi my dad was diagnosed with meso in March 2020 and given a very poor prognosis as it was advanced and he is 82 years old. We are just about coping but I wondered if anyone else had noticed a change in their voice? Just today dads voice seems much deeper than normal and almost robotic. I can't see any obvious swelling on his neck but the change is very noticeable. He is not in any pain or discomfort and has no cold symptoms. Any ideas? Should I get him checked or is this normal? thanks
My voice changes in fact my son say I sound like Orval on the phone. I find that it gets worse as the Meso advances and it is thought that the tumours lay on the nerves to my voice box and when treatment shrinks it I get my voice back again. It is something that is normal.
