Hello . I am new to this group. I was diagnosed at the end of Fen 2019 and have since had 3 courses of chemotherapy. I couldn’t have the 4th due to acute kidney injury . The tumours have shrunk and are currently stable. However , I still feel breathless and tired. Can I do anything about this?

Just to add. I am feeling generally OK . i have a good appetite and losing no weight..My breathlessness and tiredness are  not debilitating as such. I have had blood transfusions for anemia . The breathlessness does not stop me going on walks or playing a little golf?Im just a bit slower!

My question is will I improve or is this just side effects and i need to live with it?

Thanks to all

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

That's great news that your tumours have shrunk and are currently stable but not such good news that you feel breathless and tired.

Not having had chemo or this type of cancer I can't help with your question but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered. If you don't get any replies you could post your question in ask a nurse and one of the specialist cancer nurses will respond within 2 working days.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

    Wishing you all the best
