Hi all,
my husband had 3 months of immunotherapy but scan showed cancer progression. Now he’s started Chemo and will hopefully have his 2nd session next week.
He has almost constant background pain, in the site of the cancer. Has anyone had chemo, even with such pain, which helped slow this evil disease? I’m worried the pain means progression and wonder if chemo can help.
Im trying to keep him as comfortable as possible but its so upsetting to see him suffer (I never show him my upset now)
Hi GwendyMc
I'm sorry to read about the pain your husband is in and it must be very hard to see him suffering.
I'm not a member of this group but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
I presume that his oncology team are aware of his pain?
((hugs))
Thanks. They are indeed aware of his pain. I worry as he repeatedly told them that his breathlessness wasn’t improving over the three months and this means the cancer went unchecked.
Thanks for your help. Sometimes I feel like I’m shouting into the void but I also understand everyone’s experience is different. Best wishes, Gwen
