Hi everyone, so I’ve had a call asking me to go in to see my SCNS on Wednesday to discuss the results of my WLE & SLNB 4 weeks ago. I’m not going to lie I’m very worried and stressed about it as everything else has been done over the phone including diagnosis the hospital always saying no face to face appointments due to covid and now they want to see me.
The next 48 hours are doing to drag so any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks

Well I suppose that explains why they wanted to see you in person to tell you about the missing lymph node. Like Amcci says at least the ones they did test were negative. A bit of good news though so hang on to that. Take care.

I was told I would get an appt to discuss my WLE and SLNB usually within 6 weeks but due to recent events it may be delayed. That has set the worry levels bubbling again!!!

  • Hi

I was wondering how you were and what is happening after your team had a meeting at the hospital a few weeks ago?

Hi Latchbrook thank you for getting in touch. I was informed after the meeting that I’ll be getting a full body ct. I received the appointment the other day and it’s on the 8th Jan. I also got my appointment to have another mole removed and that’s 7th Jan so it’s all go, I’m just happy something is getting done. Still no news on the missing lymph node though I dont think we’ll ever hear about it again

  • I'm glad to hear that things are moving forward  and that you don't have long to wait for your scan and mole removal. Are you having the scan as a precaution because of the lost sentinel lymph node as you said that no cancer cells were found in the other one?

Hi yes the scan is a precaution for the lymph node that was lost as there’s no definite result but the other one was clear

  • Let us all know how you get on.
